Monday Carpet Bowls
Carpet Bowls is once again with us for the winter months. Starts from Monday 2nd October at 1.30pm. Everyone is welcome, especially new players wanting to give it a go. It’s fun, relaxed with a nice cup of tea and biscuit to round off the afternoon!

Carpet Bowls Black Bottle Competition
The Black Bottle Carpet Bowling Competition was played on the evenings of 27th and 28th November. This was the second year since resurrecting this great competition and hope to expand the number of entrants for next year.
Closing of the Green
The annual Blairgowrie Bowling Club match between the Treasurer, Jim Brodie and the Secretary, Diana Findlay, which marks the end of the bowling season, took place on Sunday 24th September. Luckily the rain stayed away until almost the end of the game. As there was only a three point difference between the two sides, winners and losers seemed immaterial!
The enjoyable afternoon was rounded off nicely with a barbecue.
Although the green is closed until next April, the club stays open for winter activities.
Carpet Bowls starts next Monday 2nd October at 1.30pm together with whist, quizzes, dominoes and other events.

Turn-don Winners (Ladies)
Congratulations to our Ladies Rink of Catherine Robertson, Diana Findlay, Babs Falconer and Skip Sheila Beedie on winning the Turn-don Cup against Rattray. An excellent afternoon’s bowling was enjoyed by all.
Rattray BC visit
We welcomed our friends from Rattray for our annual home game which was played in a lovely atmosphere of friendliness and camaraderie . This is part of the ongoing set of fixtures between the two clubs, important when many clubs are not able to field a team at the moment.
Craigentinney visit to Blairgowrie
Blairgowrie Bowling Club were very pleased to host Craigentinney Bowling Club from Edinburgh on Saturday 1st July. This is the second fixture in what looks to become an annual event. We were very lucky with the weather. The whole afternoon was most enjoyable with excellent bowling on the green and a lovely atmosphere of camaraderie and fun both on and off the green. Afterwards we were treated to an amazing buffet, organised by Blairgowrie club members. We look forward to visiting Craigentinney next year.
Opening of the Green
We are greatly indebted to our trusty band of volunteers who worked very hard to prepare the surroundings of the green for the new season.
Blairgowrie Bowling Club celebrated the opening of their summer season with a most enjoyable afternoon of bowls in the sunshine.
A total of forty one players enjoyed their first game of the 2023 outdoor season, with Pat Lockerbie bowling the very first bowl.
The club now looks forward to a packed and entertaining schedule with games to suit every person.
We welcome new players and potential bowlers.
Carpet bowls winners
Congratulations to Allan Carle who was our carpet bowls winner this year with Anthea Dean a worthy runner up. We have had a great season and raised approximately £270 pounds for the club. Well done everyone!
